1969
Bob Baker succeeded Tony Law as Group Scout Leader when Tony moved away from Coggeshall. An approach was made to Braintree Rural District Council regarding land being made available for a Scout Headquarters. Scout and Venture Unit Summer Camp held at Seatoller in the Lake District.

1968
Scouts attended the 6th Essex International Jamboree and with the Venture Unit an adventurous Summer camp at Llanfairfechan North Wales camping on the edge of and walking in the Snowdonia National Park.

1967
This year saw major changes in the National Scout Movement. Boy Scouts changed to Scouts - Wolf Cubs to Cub Scouts and Senior and Rover Scouts to Venture Scouts. Shorts and large brimmed hats changed to long trousers and berets. Alan Brown leaves the area and Gordon Hewitt takes on the role of running the Cub Section.Local camps held by the Scouts during the Summer to try out the new camping equipment. September: A Venture Scout Unit was formed and led by Mr. Bob Baker.

1966
During 1966 Mr. Bones left the area and Mr. Tony Law joined to run the Scout Troop with Mr. Drake. In order for the Scouts to gain experience of Camping the Kelvedon Scout Troop invited the older Scouts to join them at their Summer Camps in both 1965 and 1966. Alan Brown takes over the running of the Cub Pack. Fund raising events in the first few years consisted of coffee mornings, toy sales, beetle drives, rummage sales and Bob-a-Job Week.

1965
Following a Public Meeting in the Church Hall in March it was decided that the 1st Coggeshall Scout Group should be reformed from 31st March 1965. The Group Registration with the Boy Scouts Association is dated 13th April 1965.The Scout Group started its meetings in the Church Hall in April with Mr. Bones as Scoutmaster and Mr. John Winter-Drake as Assistant. A Cub Pack was started in June led by Mrs. Beckwith and Mrs. Mackenzie. The meetings being held in the Lecture Hall. A Parents Committee to support that Scouts and Cubs was set up at the Public Meeting with a Chairman, Secretary, Treasurer and members. The Barclays Bank deposit from 1936 had now grown with interest to £15 7s. Later in the year both the Cubs and the Scouts transferred their weekly meetings to St. Peter's Hall. Scout and Cub colours were presented and dedicated by the Vicar at St. Peter's Church in November.
